Calgary, Alberta, CA

Posted by CSIF - The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers.

In 1997, CSIF acquired a library of over 2500 16mm films from the Calgary Public Library including cult classics, animations, shorts and documentaries. Once every month, a local Calgary curator is asked to choose a film from the collection to screen!

The only catch is that for copyright reasons we can't disclose the name of the film until you see it... come out and get in on the secret!

The screenings are held in CSIF's screening room @ #100, 1725 - 10 Avenue SW. Admission is by donation, but you can reserve seats via Eventbrite. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR!

Thursday October 19, 8pm | curated by Femme Wave's Hayley Muir & Kaely Cormack (Doors open @ 7:30PM)

Femme Wave is a feminist arts festival that takes place on Treaty 7 territory and the traditional territory of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Nakoda (Stoney), and Tsuut’ina, also known as Calgary, Alberta. Founded in 2015, it is a collective-run organization with board and committee members of diverse and varying backgrounds. The festival takes place annually across multiple inner-city venues and has enjoyed considerable growth since its inception.
