Multiple factors shape women’s vulnerability to mental health issues. Debates are ongoing around the nature of the relationship between gender, diagnosis and prevalence. This social issues discussion will be an opportunity to explore connections between mental health and gender. How does mental health affect women's lives? How can we better respond to the specific needs of women?
Join us for a conversation with Priscilla Cherry from the CMHA - Canadian Mental Health Association - Calgary Region and Dr. Richelle Schindler from the University of Calgary, on the multiple challenges faced by women who experience or have experienced mental health issues.
This is part of our monthly Social Issues Discussion Series. This event is for all women-identified people.
