WHAT ARE WE SELLING? Indian Tacos? Nope, IndigiTACOS, with vegan, vegetarian, and meat options loaded with every vegetable imaginable for the incredibly low price of $5.00. We will also be selling mint pineapple punch for $2. Come hangout with your local friendly racialized QBIPOC & 2- Spirit community as we plan a nice summer hangout and market place to raise funds and raise awareness.

A donation box will also be available on site if you would like to contribute more to our film.

WHAT ELSE ARE WE OFFERING? Live music and a small market for local artists of color to sell their art/zines/hand-made pieces. Anyone interested in being a vendor, please email

WHAT IS THE FUNDRAISER FOR? Our group consisting of 2-Spirit, Black, and People of Colour who wrote a short film called, "The People We Choose 2 Love." This is a film exploring positive relationships racialized LGBTQ2(+) have with each other as a way to break stereotypes of queer folk in film.

WHY SHOULD YOU SUPPORT US? Representation is important to us. We believe that our communities should have positive and empowering stories and characters on screen. We would like to bring new perspectives and faces to Calgary's film community. Furthermore, we will be facilitating a mentorship program with 2BIPOC youth who are interested in filmmaking. We will be partnering them up with an experienced mentor to guide them through the film process.

WHAT THIS FILM IS FOR: Emmedia has asked the Treaty 7 Film Collective's creator Danni Black to Curate the next AlterNATIVE Indigenous Film Series. September 29th, 2017, Danni has created a show called "A Night of Celebrating our 2-Spirit and IndigiQUEERS Through Film and Performace." We would like to submit our film into this event to be showcased and premiered.

WHAT WILL WE USE THE FUNDS FOR? We will be gathering a team of POC Women, Trans, Non-Binary, and 2-Spirit to fill the roles of our production team. We will begin shooting in August, but we need our food for cast and crew, equipment, set decoration, and wardrob covered to achieve the goals and look of this film. We are grateful for any donations or purchase of an IndigiTACO to help us realize our dreams for this film and our community.

1) Entrance: FREE
2) IndigiTACO = $5
3) Folks interested in purchasing a vendor table (RULES: Have to identify as BIPOC + lgbtq(+) & 2-Spirit) = $10
4) Marketplace = Anywhere from low to high, depends on merchant (We will be offering colourful and beautiful blankets on the grass, bring a table if you like)
5) We will also have a small donation box available on site.

CANT MAKE IT TO THE FUNDRAISER BUT WANT TO SUPPORT? We will be launching an online crowd funding campaign very soon and we will be posting the link on this page when it is launched.

Thank you, Chi Meegwetch, SUKAPI. We acknowledge this event will take place on the traditional lands of the Blackfoot, as well as Treaty 7. We welcome everyone to come to this event!
