Changing the Face of Addiction is holding a workshop to create prayer flags that will commemorate the 343 deaths from overdoses involving fentanyl during 2016 in Alberta.

Please join us on May 25th to create a flag or flags. All materials will be supplied, and light snacks will be available to munch on while you create.

We will be displaying the flags in the City Hall Atrium when we have reached our quota, as well as at other locations to be determined. Eventually the flags will be taken to the mountains, and our prayers for creating a better, more just world for all those suffering from substance use disorder will be carried off by the winds.

Changing the Face of Addiction believes that the things you look at change when you change the way you look at them. We want to be the catalyst for change in the way addiction is viewed by Albertans, our Government and health services in Alberta. Our goal is to Educate, Communicate and Connect.

Bring your friends, family and colleagues to this event, and help us create awareness and change by participating in this community-based project. Everyone is welcome!

There is a suggested donation of $2 - $5 to help us cover the cost of materials used. However, no one will be turned away!
