Artists Alana Bartol, Kevin Jesuino, and anne drew potter invite you to Re-Imagining the Commons on April 5th 6-8pm at Illingworth Kerr Gallery, Alberta College of Art+Design. Join us for an evening of discussion of urban agriculture and community gardens as a site for critically examining and strengthening our commons in Calgary. Contribute your ideas to the gallery installation and enjoy some slow cooker vegetarian chili. This event is free and open to the public.

About the project
The three artists have come together to found The Calgary Commission on Urban Agriculture (CCUA). The CCUA is founded with the belief that the concept of the commons is full of radical potential. Through a partnership with The Alex Community Food Centre, the community garden becomes a site to explore, examine, and influence the dynamics of community relationships.

This workshop is part of a group exhibition presenting socially engaged ideas for public art in Calgary developed by artists Dick Averns, Alana Bartol, Kevin Jesuino, Taryn Kneteman and anne drew potter.
