For the April edition of our Environmental Issues Discussion Series, the Women's Centre is teaming up with the Parkland Institute to present Beyond Consumerism - A Discussion and Workshop,

We'll be joined by Political Ecologist Larissa Stendie, who will guide a conversation about consumerism, consumption, and what encourages us to buy more goods. As a researcher with the Parkland Institute, Larissa will bring her extensive experience working on environmental and economic issues to explore some of the following:

- What are the environmental and social impacts of a consumption-oriented culture?
- How can we move beyond consumerism to create more sustainable communities?
