Understanding the Impact of Racism
Free one-day conference
Tuesday, March 21, 2017
9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Ross Glen Hall
Open to MRU students, faculty, staff, as well as the general public

March 21st is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. This year, in partnership with the Alberta Network of Immigrant Women and the Government of Canada, we are proud to present a full day conference: Understanding the Impact of Racism. This event is open to MRU students, faculty, staff, as well as the general public.

By providing a public forum where meaningful discussions about racism, bigotry, and intolerance can be held, we hope to promote mutual understanding and learning. To this end, we hope to create an environment where those problematic beliefs and attitudes can be examined and challenged, and encourage anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive practices.

As limited space is available at this conference, we request that you register to secure your spot. Please register using the EventBrite link above, or email info@aniw.org for more information.
