Tobacco litigation was instrumental in the public health battle over cigarettes. Today, many are asking if litigation can play a similar role in establishing liability for climate change, and if so, what governments and corporations should be doing to plan ahead.

Professors Martin Olszysnki and Sharon Mascher have recently completed a paper comparing historic tobacco litigation with the potential for climate liability.

Join the Environmental Law Society from noon to one on March 20th to hear from them about this cutting edge area of legal liability. As if that wasn't enough incentive, pizza will be provided!
