Session 1 (2:00 - 4:00 p.m.)
Session 2 (5:00 - 7:00 p.m.)

Location: CNIB
15 Colonel Baker Place Northeast
Calgary, AB T2E 4Z3

We are excited to see the recent announcement that the “Government of Canada is reaching out to find ways to work together to reduce poverty in Canada and develop a Canadian Poverty Reduction Strategy.” It is in partnership with Vibrant Communities Canada and Employment and Social Development Canada that we are honoured to host a community conversation for this purpose. Join us for our first Enough for All Community Conversation of 2017 on March 2, 2017 and share your thoughts on what should be included in a federal poverty reduction strategy.
This input will be consolidated in a report that will then be shared with the federal government as they embark on their consultation process to hear from Canadians in all provinces and territories. For information on the foundation for this community conversation, we recommend reading Towards a Poverty Reduction Strategy Discussion Paper and Backgrounder.

We are hosting one session in the afternoon (2:00 – 4:00 p.m.) and another identical session in the early evening (5:00 – 7:00 p.m.). Please register for ONE session, only. Space is limited.

Light refreshments will be provided.

If you have any questions, please contact Janet at 403-283-2122 or email

Who may attend? All are welcome to this free event, but space is limited, so we encourage you to register right away.
Where is it? The CNIB is located in the community of Bridgeland at 15 Colonel Baker Place NE. Calgary Transit Bus # 90 stops in front and the C-train at Bridgeland is a few blocks away. Visit for transit options. There is plenty of parking in the adjacent lot or on the street.
Unable to attend? If you have ideas about a Canadian poverty reduction strategy, but are unable to attend on March 2nd, The Government of Canada has launched an online forum to share your thoughts, ideas and perspective. Click here for a variety of ways you could contribute. Visit the Government of Canada site for ways that you can contribute by clicking here.

Vibrant Communities Calgary will host four Community Conversations in 2017 to build upon the momentum, stakeholders and opportunities presented in Enough For All, Calgary’s poverty reduction strategy.
