This national movement has been organized by people who use drugs, drug user groups, harm reduction workers, frontline workers, and allies.

This national epidemic of opoid overdose deaths has hit Calgarians of all demographics in exceedingly devastating numbers. This is a call to action that we all work together to create and implement lasting solutions. Evidence-based practices exist, yet the responses from all stages of government is lacking.

On February 21 2017, a first national day of action will be held across Canada to demand concrete actions to put an end to the war on drugs, remove barriers to health care, and implement policies that are informed by real life experiences of people who use drugs and providers.

Participating cities: Nanaimo, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal
